Dark Side #46 – Music Enthusiast, The Times They Are a Changing

Episode 14 of The Music Enthusiast Podcast is totally different from any other (some of) you have ever heard before, because now you can listen to the full one plus hour of the show without being a member of the Dark Side. I get you ready for the Texas Music Unites launch party (happening March 31st at the Curtain Club) with the first several songs by spinning most of the bands who are playing the event. This includes Fantasma, Red Angel Theory, Moving Atlas and Dawn Over Zero. Dark Side #41 – Revenge-Less

Howdy, Folks… it’s another episode of The Double Shot Podcast and we are joined by none other than Dr. Phil! After we all talk about what’s up and new shit, including new show announcements and more excitement from WhiskeyBoy Radio, we get going in the show.  WhiskeyBoy spends the first half going insane on SOME of the local music industry.  He basically calls for a local band to drop their drummer OR suffer “imminent Failure!”.  After the helatious verbal beating WhiskeyBoy give a drummer we play a KILLER tune from local rockers URSA… (you can catch them on a WhiskeyBoy Radio concert, June 16th at Tomcats).  The second half of the show is, OF COURSE, for prank calls… and we have a few GOOD ones this week.  WhiskeyBoy takes a break from calling personally and instead lets a slew of celebrities take the calls for us!  Dr. Phil, Miss Cleo, Jack Black and Arnold Schwarzenegger all take calls on the show… and it’s GREAT fun!  Next week we will have a special extended show with a band in studio to hang and play for us!  call us at             817-727-8888       and we’ll see you next week!

Dark Side #40 – Wild Child

I think I may consider episode twelve to be one of my best shows yet! The first half is a little longer than usual and belongs mostly to the Austin band, Wild Child. I did an interview with them which I play first, and then spin a song of theirs. We go over the concert calendar for the week and before wrapping the first half I do a song from Ambassadors who is touring through Dallas soon.

The second half is like usual, being a slew of songs beginning with one from Ryan Hamilton. Zhora, Castle Lights, and Clepto also get some love, as doesJibe who is getting ready to REUNITE!
